Congratulations Rory & Cara

There’s an immense feeling of pride around Vox Pop Media towers at the minute.

We have worked with the artist Rory & the Island continuously over the past few years and we have enjoyed every minute of it.

While we will continue to work with Rory on many future projects we are very excited about something Rory and his wife Cara have been working on in Lanzarote…

This weekend the Island Bar in Puerto Del Carmen officially opened it’s doors. We would like to congratulate Rory and Cara and also wish them the best of luck with the venue.

See you all at the Island Bar for a drink in the sun very soon. Viva Lanzarote! :)

Congratulations Galia Arad

Congratulations to Galia Arad – the winner of our competition giving away one month of free PR.

The competition was tough – we had expected a few entries and were genuinely shocked by the reception the competition received.

The quality and quantity of entries was unbelievable, so much so that we had to draft in some help to choose a winner.

So, over the weekend we recruited our friends Stuart Clark (Hot Press), Noel Murphy (Warner Music), Chris O’Brien (the Riot Tapes), Róisín Moloney (Universal Music Group) and John Bowe (Radio Nova) as our judging panel. Each judge also remarked on the quality of entries. Eventually, Galia Arad was chosen as the winner and we look forward to working with her.

Thanks to everyone who entered – there’s so much talent out there at the minute – the future is bright. We will be running more competitions throughout the year so stay tuned!

Rory & the Island Irish Tour

The sound of ‘Auntie Depressant & Uncle Hope’ seems to fall somewhere between Galway, California, Jamaica and Liverpool…Brilliant. The single ‘Champagne Lifestyle on Coca Cola Wages’ is a wry and witty commentary on fickleness and materialism. The album ‘Auntie Depressant & Uncle Hope is a compelling suite of songs.” – Hotpress Magazine, Dublin.
