Boys in Green @ No. 5 on Irish download Chart

It was celebration time at Vox Pop Media towers this week as Rory and the Island and Sharon Shannon went in to number five on the Irish download charts with the Euro 2012 anthem “Boys in Green”.

Mark Black & the Trips

Featuring amplified 12 string acoustic guitars, lap steel, didjireedoo, driving roots rhythms and grooves; Mark Black and the Trips are one of the hottest and most dynamic live acts around and are now the latest addition to the Vox Pop Media roster.

Mark Black & the Trips are led by singer-songwriter and guitarist Mark Black and also features Brendan McGlynn on bass and Seamus Devenny on drums and percussion. Mark Black’s musical credentials include two self-produced studio albums, a double live album and concert DVD featuring the 13 piece big band “The Roots Orchestra”.

The single Ghosts in the Fire is due for release on April 20th 2012 and the album of the same title is out on April 27th 2012.
